UK Resource Centre for Women in Science Engineering and Technology

UK Resource Centre for Women in Science Engineering and Technology
The aim of the UKRC is to increase the participation and position of women in science, engineering and technology (SET). The UKRC is a strategic, funding and delivery organisation aiming to catalyse and mainstream gender equality policy and practice for women in SET occupations and support SET employers in changing workplace culture. UKRC is focussed on specific sectors and graduate levels of SET employment where under-representation and attrition of women remains a major economic concern and loss of talent and potential to employers.
UKRC objectives include:
- To support qualified SET women returners
- To share good employment practice for women in SET
- To raise the profile of women in SET
- To disseminate and share information
Linked to the findings and Action Plan arising from the Women and Work Commission Report and UKRC’s key role in supporting the Government Strategy for Women in SET, the UKRC is actively committed to the quality part-time work agenda, as a tool to increase the participation and career progression of women in SET.
