Policy into Practice Consultancy

Following on from the Conference we ran in April 08, promoting the business case for work-life balance,  flexworks-uk has seen an increase in demand for consultancy and workshops 153x500_fitbox-flexibleworking1.jpegto tackle the practical challenges of turning flexible working policies into practice.  

We now offer a consultancy service which focuses on the practical day to day challenges faced by policy makers and Operational Managers when managing flexible working issues. 

Our consultancy services are offered as bespoke in-house, or via external workshops which are available from September 2008.  The courses are offered by HR and Training specialist Vivienne Duke founder and Director of flexworks-uk and Vanessa Boon MCIPD, of Energise - people development and diversity.  

Our Consultancy Services and workshops are based around the following key issues:

  • How to sustain flexibility with increased demand. Is there a flexible worker threshold?

  • How to roll out a flexi policy to achieve buy-in from Operational Managers. What should be on your check list? 

  • How to make flexible working arrangement successful in practice.

  • How flexibility works within job design and senior posts.

  • How to assess a request for flexible working patterns that have never been tried before.

  • How to manage performace and career development for flexible staff and home workers.

  • How other employers manage co-workers' reactions and the team impact of flexible workers.
